Facts last verified 2026-10-09 · How we rate
What we like
- ✓ Runs separate provincially licensed sites for Ontario (since 2022) and Alberta (2026), and sends visitors to the right one by province
- ✓ The rest-of-Canada site's operator, Baytree Interactive Limited, appears on the Kahnawake Gaming Commission's permit-holder list against www.spincasino.com
- ✓ Welcome bonus wagering is 35x the bonus only, lower than most offshore offers, with a clear game contribution table
- ✓ Published payout timeline: 24-hour pending period, then 2–24 hours for e-wallets, 1–2 business days for bank transfers
- ✓ eCOGRA named as the independent dispute body, with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission as the final escalation
What could improve
- ✗ The site for players outside Ontario and Alberta is licensed in Kahnawake, not by a province, so it does not carry provincial player protection
- ✗ Terms let the casino pay winnings in euros 'irrespective of the currency' of your account
- ✗ Withdrawals after a welcome bonus can be capped at 6x your first deposit, and players who win 5x their lifetime deposits can be held to €4,000 a week
- ✗ Accounts inactive for six months can be charged €10 a month for up to 18 months before the balance is forfeited
- ✗ The payment methods page gives no limits or times and does not mention Interac, and the FAQ still refers to Flash software

Spin Casino is one of the longest-running brands in online casinos, and in Canada it has done something few offshore names manage: it holds a separate licence in each of Canada’s two regulated provincial markets. When you arrive at spincasino.com from a Canadian connection, the first thing you see is a choice of province: Alberta, Ontario or “Other”. That choice decides which company you contract with, which regulator oversees it, and which protections you get. This review sets out what we could check about all three, with most of the detail on the site most Canadians outside Ontario and Alberta will use. We read the terms and conditions, bonus terms, payment methods, About, FAQ and responsible gaming pages on 9 October 2026, and checked the operator on the Kahnawake Gaming Commission’s permit-holder list.
Canada leaves gambling to the provinces. Ontario opened a regulated market for private online casinos in 2022 and Alberta followed in July 2026; most other provinces offer only a government lottery-corporation site. Offshore and Kahnawake-licensed casinos serving those other provinces sit in a grey area: playing at them is not illegal for the player, but no province regulates them. This is a factual review, not a recommendation to play. Our quick verdict: Spin Casino is the most established operator in our Canadian coverage, with fair bonus wagering and clear payout times, but its rest-of-Canada terms include a few clauses worth knowing before you deposit. Our overall score is 7.0 out of 10.
Trust & Licensing
Three sites, three licences
Spin Casino’s province selector sends players to three different sites, and each footer names a different licence.
- Ontario (spincasino.ca/ontario): operated by CADTREE LIMITED, an Alderney company (no. 2031), under licence OPIG1237906, issued 23 June 2022. The footer describes the regulator as the “Ontario Gaming Commission”. Ontario’s model requires registration with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario.
- Alberta (spincasino.ca/alberta): also CADTREE LIMITED, under Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis licence #120426, issued 24 April 2026, ahead of Alberta’s regulated market opening on 13 July 2026. The footer points players to ABiGaming.ca for problem gambling support.
- Rest of Canada (spincasino.com): operated by Baytree Interactive Ltd, a Guernsey company (no. 69691), under Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence 01059, issued 26 August 2026. Its terms exclude residents of Ontario and Alberta, who are sent to the provincial sites.
We checked the rest-of-Canada licence on the Kahnawake Gaming Commission’s own permit-holder list. It names Baytree Interactive Limited against www.spincasino.com, alongside sister brands including JackpotCity, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune and Spin Palace. The licence and the domain match. We did not find Spin Casino on the copy of iGaming Ontario’s operator page we downloaded, and we did not check the Alberta licence on an AGLC register, so both provincial licences are taken from the operator’s own footers and listed as unconfirmed in our data panel. Our guide on how to check a casino licence yourself shows how to look up each one.
What Kahnawake does and doesn’t give you
The Kahnawake Gaming Commission regulates gaming from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke in Quebec and has licensed online casinos for many years. It is an established regulator with a published permit-holder list and a complaints route. It is not a provincial regulator. In provinces other than Ontario and Alberta, a Kahnawake licence gives you the commission’s oversight and an independent dispute process, but not the provincial rules on advertising, bonus limits and player protection that apply to licensed sites in Ontario and Alberta. Our Canadian online casino guide explains the provincial picture in more detail.
The licence New Zealand visitors see
The footer changes with the visitor’s location. Loaded from New Zealand on 9 October 2026, spincasino.com named Baytree (Alderney) Limited under Alderney Gambling Control Commission eGaming licence 155 C1, issued 15 December 2020, rather than the Kahnawake licence shown to Canadians. We checked the Alderney regulator’s licensee list: it names Baytree (Alderney) Limited against www.spincasino.com and sister sites including JackpotCity and Royal Vegas, and names Cadtree Limited, the company behind the Ontario and Alberta sites, against www.spincasino.ca. The New Zealand offer mirrors the Canadian one in NZ dollars: up to NZ$1,000 across three deposits with a NZ$10 minimum.
The company behind the brand
Spin Casino says it “officially launched in 2001”, and its About page directs readers to Super Group for corporate information. Super Group is the listed gaming company that also owns Betway. A group of that size, with provincial licences in two regulated markets, is a better trust signal than most offshore brands can offer. The Kahnawake list shows Baytree running more than a dozen casino brands from the same licence, so problems in the group’s processes would affect many sites at once.
We score trust at 7.0, the highest of the casinos we have reviewed for Australia, New Zealand and Canada. It is held back by the rest-of-Canada site’s lack of provincial oversight, the provincial licences we could not confirm on a register, and the terms covered below.
Games & Software Providers
Spin Casino’s About page claims “over 1,000 titles” and names four suppliers: Games Global (the company that took over Microgaming’s casino portfolio), Pragmatic Play, OnAir Entertainment for live tables and Spribe for crash-style games. The lobby is grouped into slots, live casino, blackjack, roulette, video poker, progressive jackpots and tournaments. The bonus terms add NetEnt slots to the picture, since they count at 50% towards wagering. Progressive jackpots are a long-standing strength of Games Global brands, and Spin Casino’s homepage advertises a daily chance at a C$1,000,000 prize through ten free spins.
At 1,000-plus games, the library is smaller than the 3,500 to 7,000 titles claimed by the offshore brands we reviewed this month, and the named supplier list is shorter. It is, however, a list of large, well-audited studios. The FAQ says the games use random number generators and that return-to-player rates “are also independently audited”. It does not name the testing lab on that page. We score games at 7.5.
Welcome Bonus Analysed
The rest-of-Canada welcome bonus is worth up to C$1,000 across three deposits:
- First deposit: 100% up to C$400.
- Second deposit: 100% up to C$300.
- Third deposit: 100% up to C$300.
On top of that, players get 10 daily spins for a chance at a C$1,000,000 prize. The minimum deposit is C$10. New players have seven days from opening the account to claim the match bonus, and the daily spins expire 30 days after the last deposit.
The key number is 35x the bonus amount only. Spin Casino’s own example: deposit 100, receive a 100 bonus, and the playthrough is 35 × 100 = 3,500. That is lower than the 40x to 50x on deposit plus bonus at the offshore brands we reviewed this month, and it is the main reason the bonus score is higher here. Our wagering requirement calculator runs the same sum for any deposit.
Game contributions are listed in full:
- 100%: all slots except NetEnt slots and progressive jackpots, plus keno and scratch cards. Re-spin slots count only 10%.
- 50%: NetEnt slots.
- 8%: most table poker, all roulette, most video poker, most blackjack and Casino War.
- 2%: Classic Blackjack, All Aces and Jacks or Better video poker.
- 0%: baccarat, craps, Red Dog, sic bo and progressive jackpots. The terms say winnings from these may be voided if you play them before meeting the playthrough.
Three more rules matter:
- Maximum bet: €8 a round (and 50 cents a line) while a bonus is being played through. Note that the limit is set in euros, not dollars.
- Withdrawal cap after a bonus: “you will be limited to a maximum withdrawal value of 6 times your first deposit amount and any remaining balance will be forfeited”, applied “at the discretion of casino management”. Take a C$400 bonus on a C$400 deposit, and a cash-out above C$2,400 could be cut back. Progressive wins are exempt.
- Unused bonuses: the match bonus is forfeited if it is not used within two months of being claimed.
We score bonuses at 6.5. The wagering is fair by market standards and the contribution table is transparent, but the 6x-deposit withdrawal cap is a significant catch and the euro-denominated maximum bet is confusing for a Canadian-dollar account.
Deposits & Withdrawals
The rest-of-Canada payments page is the weakest page we read. It names Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, NETELLER and paysafecard, and the FAQ adds Apple Pay as one of the most popular methods, but it publishes no minimums, maximums or processing times per method. It says only that withdrawal timeframes differ “per method for each region”. It does not mention Interac, Canada’s most-used online payment method, although the Ontario site does. Check the cashier for what is offered to your account before depositing.
The terms fill in some of the gaps:
- Same-method payouts. Withdrawals go back to the method used to deposit. Bank wire and cheque withdrawals are paid only to the name on the account, and a card used to deposit must be in the account holder’s name.
- Euro payouts. The casino “reserves the right to pay any winnings in Euros, irrespective of the currency the player’s account has been registered in”. That exposes a Canadian player to exchange-rate costs on any payout made that way.
- Big-winner limit. Players who withdraw five times or more their lifetime deposits across the casino group “will be liable for detailed game and play review” and can be held to €4,000 a week, at management’s discretion. Progressive wins are exempt.
- Reversed withdrawals. Pending withdrawals can be returned to the casino balance if a player does not respond to withdrawal requirements. The terms suggest locking your account if you don’t want pending funds made available to play.
How the Ontario and Alberta Sites Differ
Most of this review covers the rest-of-Canada site, because its terms are the ones we read in full. The provincial sites are separate products with their own terms, and a few differences are visible from their public pages. The Ontario site lists Interac among its deposit options (“From Interac to Visa and more”) and names paysafecard as a pre-approved method, whereas the rest-of-Canada payments page does not mention Interac at all. Both provincial sites link to a “Payout Percentages” page in the footer, which the rest-of-Canada site does not. The Alberta footer points players to ABiGaming.ca for problem gambling and mental health support, as Alberta’s regulated market requires.
The bigger difference is the rules behind the sites. A provincially licensed operator has to follow its province’s standards on advertising, bonuses, player verification and complaints, and an Ontario or Alberta player with an unresolved dispute can turn to a provincial regulator rather than to Kahnawake. The homepage welcome offer we analysed above is the rest-of-Canada offer; bonus advertising and terms on the provincial sites follow their own provincial rules. If you live in either province, read the terms on your provincial site rather than relying on this review’s bonus section.
A Worked Example: The Bonus and the Withdrawal Cap Together
Here is how the bonus terms combine in practice. A player deposits C$100 and receives a C$100 match. To release the bonus they must wager 35 × C$100 = C$3,500, ideally on slots that count 100%, at no more than €8 a spin. Suppose they clear the wagering and finish with a balance of C$1,500. Under the 6x first-deposit cap, management can limit the withdrawal to 6 × C$100 = C$600 and forfeit the remaining C$900. A progressive jackpot win would be exempt. The cap is discretionary, so it may not be applied, but a player who wants certainty should either deposit more on the first deposit or skip the bonus.
Payout Speed
Spin Casino’s FAQ gives the clearest timeline of any casino in this batch. Once you request a withdrawal, it enters “a short pending period of just 24 hours” before the payments team processes it. After payment, e-wallets take 2 to 24 hours, bank transfers 1 to 2 business days, and credit or debit cards 1 to 5 business days. That gives a total of roughly one to six days, the range we show in our data panel. Verification of identity and payment method can lengthen a first withdrawal. We did not make a deposit or withdrawal ourselves. We score payout speed at 7.0.
Mobile Experience
Spin Casino runs in the mobile browser on iOS, Android, Windows and macOS, and its FAQ says the casino app can be downloaded from the iOS App Store or Google Play. Store availability depends on your province and country, so check before you rely on it. The same FAQ still tells players to “start the software running using Flash”, a technology browsers dropped years ago. It is a small thing, but it suggests the help content is not kept fully up to date. We did not test the app.
Customer Support
Spin Casino advertises a support team “made up of real people”, and its Help Centre runs on a separate site. We did not contact support, so we cannot comment on response times. The complaints process is set out in section 10 of the terms:
- Raise the issue with Player Support.
- Complete the internal complaint process, which ends with a Dispute Reference Number.
- Take the unresolved complaint, with that number, to eCOGRA, the casino’s approved independent dispute resolution provider.
- If still unresolved, escalate to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
Separately, if the casino deregisters, excludes or suspends you, you have 30 days to complain to the regulator, or it may withhold contested funds. eCOGRA is a long-established testing and dispute body. Naming it is a real advantage over casinos whose only outside route is a little-known adjudicator. We score support at 7.0.
The Terms Worth Reading Before You Deposit
- Inactive accounts. An account with no login for six months is inactive, and the casino can then charge a €10 administration fee each month for up to 18 months before forfeiting what is left.
- One account per brand. Accounts are limited to one per brand within the group, and bonuses claimed at one group casino affect eligibility at the others.
- Irregular play. Equal, zero or low-margin bets and hedge betting count as irregular play during a bonus, and the casino can withhold withdrawals where it finds them.
- Changes without notice. The terms say changes take effect “immediately upon their posting on the Casino Website”, so check the version in force before you deposit.
How Spin Casino Compares With Other Casinos We Reviewed
Spin Casino stands apart from the Australia- and New Zealand-facing brands we reviewed this month. Our PlayAmo review covers a brand that has changed operator three times in a year, licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission, with 50x wagering and Costa Rica-only arbitration. SkyCrown and Joe Fortune both have ACMA findings against their operators. Spin Casino, by contrast, has run under the same brand since 2001 and holds provincial licences in Ontario and Alberta. Its rest-of-Canada operator appears on Kahnawake’s permit list against the exact domain, and it names eCOGRA as its dispute body. Its weak points are different: an under-documented payments page, euro-denominated limits and discretionary withdrawal caps, rather than questions about who runs it or whether it is allowed to.
Who Spin Casino Suits — and Who Should Look Elsewhere
Spin Casino suits Canadian slot players who value a long track record, want a welcome bonus with achievable wagering, and either live in Ontario or Alberta (where they get a provincially licensed site) or accept Kahnawake oversight elsewhere. It suits jackpot players too, since progressive wins are exempt from the withdrawal caps.
It is a weaker fit for table and live casino players taking a bonus, since baccarat counts nothing and most table games 8%. Big winners outside the jackpots face the 6x-deposit cap after a bonus and a possible €4,000-a-week limit. And players who want Interac clearly listed should check the cashier first.
A Pre-Deposit Checklist Built Around Spin Casino’s Own Fine Print
- Choose your real province at the selector. Ontario and Alberta residents should use the provincially licensed sites.
- Check the footer of the site you land on, and look the licence up on the relevant regulator’s list.
- Confirm your deposit method, and whether Interac is offered, in the cashier before you deposit.
- If you take the bonus, keep bets under €8 a round, stick to slots, and remember the 6x first-deposit withdrawal cap.
- Upload ID and proof of payment method before your first withdrawal.
- Log in at least once every six months, or withdraw your balance, to avoid the inactivity fee.
- Set deposit limits in your account before you start, and keep the free, confidential support options on our responsible gambling page to hand. In Ontario, ConnexOntario offers free help 24/7 on 1-866-531-2600.
Where Spin Casino’s Paper Trail Still Has Gaps
Several points are unconfirmed and are listed in our data panel as well:
- Provincial licences: the Ontario and Alberta licences are taken from the sites’ own footers, not checked on a register.
- Payment methods: limits per method, and whether Interac is offered on the rest-of-Canada site, were not confirmed.
- New Zealand: we checked the offer and licence from a New Zealand connection but did not read the New Zealand terms in full or complete a sign-up.
- Games: the full provider list was not confirmed from the lobby.
- Launch date: 2001 is Spin Casino’s own statement.
- Complaints: we did not review complaint databases.
- Support: we did not check response times.
We will update this page when any of these change.
Final Verdict
Spin Casino is the strongest operator in our Canadian coverage so far. It has a 25-year-old brand, separate licensed sites in Ontario and Alberta, and a Kahnawake permit that names its exact domain for the rest of Canada. Its welcome bonus carries 35x wagering on the bonus alone, its payout timeline is published, and eCOGRA is named as an outside dispute body. The catches are in the rest-of-Canada terms: payouts can be made in euros, withdrawals after a bonus can be capped at six times the first deposit, big winners can be held to €4,000 a week, and inactive accounts are charged after six months.
Our overall score is 7.0 out of 10, with trust at 7.0, payout speed 7.0, games 7.5, bonuses 6.5 and support 7.0, weighted as our methodology sets out. If you live in Ontario or Alberta, use the provincial site. If you live elsewhere in Canada, Spin Casino is a reasonable choice among non-provincial options, as long as you read the withdrawal clauses before you take the bonus.
Where a genuine licence would be listed
We could not match Spin Casino to a licence. These are the public registers where a real one would appear.
- → Curaçao Gaming Authority — licensing and licence register
- → Anjouan Gaming — public licence register
- → PAGCOR — Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation
- → UK Gambling Commission — public register of licence holders

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Spin Casino legal in Canada?
It depends on your province. In Ontario, Spin Casino runs a separate site licensed under Ontario's regulated market (licence OPIG1237906, issued June 2022). In Alberta it runs another site under an Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis licence (#120426, issued April 2026). Everywhere else it serves players from spincasino.com under a Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence, which is not a provincial licence. Playing there is not illegal for the player, but it carries no provincial consumer protection.
Who owns Spin Casino?
The rest-of-Canada site is run by Baytree Interactive Ltd, a Guernsey company (no. 69691), and the Ontario and Alberta sites by CADTREE LIMITED, an Alderney company (no. 2031). Spin Casino's About page directs readers to Super Group, the listed gaming group behind the brand, for company information. Spin Casino says it launched in 2001.
How does the Spin Casino welcome bonus work?
On the rest-of-Canada site it is worth up to C$1,000 over three deposits: 100% up to C$400 on the first, then 100% up to C$300 on each of the next two, with a C$10 minimum deposit. The bonus carries 35x wagering on the bonus amount only, so a C$100 bonus needs C$3,500 of play. Slots count 100%, most table games 8%, and baccarat and progressive jackpots count nothing. The maximum bet while wagering is €8 a round.
How long do Spin Casino withdrawals take?
Spin Casino's FAQ says withdrawals sit in a 24-hour pending period before the payments team processes them, and are paid back to the method you deposited with. After payment, e-wallets take 2 to 24 hours, bank transfers 1 to 2 business days, and credit or debit cards 1 to 5 business days. Verification can add time to a first withdrawal.
Are there limits on what I can withdraw from Spin Casino?
Two clauses can apply at management's discretion. After a welcome bonus, withdrawals can be capped at six times your first deposit, with the rest forfeited. And players who withdraw five times or more their lifetime deposits across the group can be reviewed and limited to €4,000 a week. Progressive jackpot wins are exempt from both.
Can New Zealand players use Spin Casino?
Yes. From a New Zealand connection on 9 October 2026, spincasino.com showed the same three-deposit offer in NZ dollars: up to NZ$1,000 (NZ$400, then NZ$300 twice) with a NZ$10 minimum deposit. The licence is different for New Zealand visitors: the footer names Baytree (Alderney) Limited under Alderney Gambling Control Commission eGaming licence 155 C1, and the Alderney regulator's licensee list shows Baytree (Alderney) Limited against www.spincasino.com. We did not complete a sign-up.
How do I complain about Spin Casino?
Raise it with Player Support first and complete the casino's formal complaint process, which issues a Dispute Reference Number. With that number you can take an unresolved complaint to eCOGRA, the casino's approved independent dispute resolution provider, and then to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. If you are suspended or excluded, the terms give you 30 days to complain to the regulator.
Our verdict: 7.0/10
