Scores and facts come from the same data files as our reviews. Facts last verified 2026-07-22 · How we rate

1xBet and Dafabet both sell themselves as worldwide sportsbooks: one is built on the widest betting menu in the business and a cashier that takes dozens of cryptocurrencies, the other on twenty years of operation and a wall of football and cricket sponsorships. Put side by side, the gap that matters most is not the number of markets. It is how much each operator tells you about itself before you hand it money, and what its house rules let it do once you have.

On the scores in our two reviews, Dafabet leads 7.6 to 6.1. Payout speed is level at 6.5 each, 1xBet is half a point ahead on support, and Dafabet is ahead on games and bonuses. The trust gap, 7.5 against 3.5, is where the comparison is decided. For this page we went back to the primary documents on 18 October 2026: the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s registry, each operator’s own terms, and the UK Gambling Commission’s records. Everything below comes from those documents or from our review data, and we say which.

Who Runs Each Site

Dafabet answers this on every page. Its footer says it is operated by Osmila N.V., a limited liability company incorporated in Curaçao on 28 June 2007, and gives the company registration number 102267 and a registered office in Curaçao. Its terms of use go further, naming separate licensed companies for Great Britain, Spain and Kenya. You can disagree with a structure like that, but you can check it.

1xBet is much harder to pin down from the site itself. From our Malaysian connection, 1xbet.com forwarded us to a mirror address, and the footer there reads only “Copyright © 2026 «1xBet»” with an 18+ mark and a support number. No company, no address, no licence. The rules document the site offers as a download, served to us in Malay, refers to the bookmaker throughout as “1xCinta” and says, in our translation, that all its online products are licensed by “Curaçao eGaming”, the name of the master-licence system Curaçao has been replacing since 2023. It gives no licence number and no company name.

That matters for a practical reason. If a dispute stalls, the first thing any regulator or mediator will ask is which company holds your account. With Dafabet the answer is printed on the site. With 1xBet you have to take the company name from the regulator’s records and trust that it covers the address you actually used.

The Curaçao Register, Read Line by Line

Both brands lead back to the same regulator, so we opened the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s online licence registry, last updated 14 October 2026, and found each company in it.

Read in isolation, the register looks better for 1xBet. Its licence carries no expiry date and an “Indefinite” status, while Dafabet’s listed term ended on 15 October 2026 and shows as under assessment. That status is not a sanction: the same registry shows it against 294 entries, which points to a renewal backlog rather than enforcement. But a licence under assessment is not a renewed licence, and if Dafabet’s licensing is part of your decision you should open the latest registry yourself before depositing.

The last row is what changes the picture. Dafabet’s footer company and registration number match its register entry exactly. Nothing on the 1xBet mirror we used mentions Caecus N.V. at all, so the link between that licence and the address in your browser rests on the operator’s word elsewhere, not on anything the site in front of you states. Our guide on how to check a casino licence walks through the Curaçao registry and what each status means.

Britain and the Rest of the Record

Neither .com site, the one most Asian players reach, is covered by a licence from a regulator such as the UK Gambling Commission or the Malta Gaming Authority, but the two brands have very different histories in Britain.

Dafabet’s British site, dafabet.co.uk, appears on the Commission’s public register as a “White Label” domain under SCGO Limited, account 44662. That is a real, checkable arrangement, but it covers British customers on the British site only. It does nothing for a player on dafabet.com.

1xBet’s British site ran on a similar arrangement, using the Commission licence of FSB Technology, until August 2019. iGaming Business reported on 13 August 2019 that the site had gone offline after a Sunday Times investigation into the brand’s advertising and betting markets, and that the Commission confirmed “ongoing enquiries into 1xBet and their relationship with licensed operator FSB”. 1xBet denied operating irresponsibly and blamed third-party partners for its adverts appearing on prohibited sites. Its current rules name the United Kingdom among the countries where using the site may be unlawful. When a member of the public asked the Commission in January 2024 for details of 1xBet’s licence and any suspension, it replied that it could neither confirm nor deny holding information, citing the law-enforcement exemption in the Freedom of Information Act.

Our 1xBet review covers the rest of the brand’s record, including the criminal case brought in Russia against its founders, which is a large part of why its trust score sits at 3.5. None of it changes the betting product. All of it bears on what happens to a player’s balance if something goes wrong.

The Two Sportsbooks

On sheer breadth 1xBet is hard to match. The sport-by-sport section of its rules runs to more than 170 numbered entries, from Australian rules football and badminton through cricket, kabaddi and snooker to keirin and Japanese speedway, then on to politics, weather, TV games and dozens of esports titles, each with its own settlement rules. Its list of bet types goes well past singles and accumulators, taking in system bets, chain bets, “anti-accumulators”, conditional bets, Lucky and Patent combinations and a Powerbet option, plus tools to sell a bet slip back early or edit it after placing. That depth suits someone who already knows exactly what they want to bet on. It also means more small print per bet, and more ways to place a stake you do not fully understand. If you are new to combination bets, read our accumulator betting guide before touching system or chain bets on any site.

Dafabet takes a different route. Its sports menu splits into two separate books, OW Sports and Dafa Sports, with casino, live dealer, arcade, lottery and other games alongside. Its sponsorship list leans heavily on cricket, with Cricket South Africa and more than a dozen English county sides, and on Celtic in football. That fits a book whose main markets in our data are India and Bangladesh.

Neither operator publishes its margins or a limits policy you can read before opening an account. Any claim about “the best odds” on either site is marketing. The only comparison that means anything is the price each offers on the market you bet, at the moment you bet it.

Deposits, Withdrawals and Identity Checks

This is where the two sets of terms differ most, and where we would spend the most reading time before signing up.

1xBet’s cashier is the broader one. Our data records cards, Skrill, Neteller, bank transfer, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, Binance Pay and more than 40 other cryptocurrencies, and its rules say Bitcoin-currency accounts pay no commission on Bitcoin deposits or withdrawals. Dafabet’s list in our data is shorter and more regional: bank transfer, cards, Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz, UPI for India, and Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and Tron-based USDT. For the trade-offs of paying in crypto at either, see our guide to crypto casino deposits.

On payout speed, our data gives 1xBet a range of roughly an hour to two days and Dafabet a couple of hours to three days, which is why both score 6.5. Neither figure comes from withdrawals we made. The rules behind those ranges are where the real difference sits.

1xBet’s withdrawal rules, in our translation of the Malay version, say:

  • withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours;
  • deposited money is expected to be staked at odds of 1.1 or higher before withdrawal, and the security team may refuse a withdrawal if it has not been;
  • withdrawals go back through the same payment method used to deposit;
  • identity checks can include passport details, proof of address, a video call or posted documents, with up to 72 hours to check documents and up to 14 working days for documents in a video;
  • for some payment systems, verification of a payment can take up to 180 days, and the account may be blocked while it runs;
  • complaints about a bet placed more than ten days earlier are rejected.

Dafabet’s terms are shorter on timings. They allow it to restrict withdrawals while checks are under way, and to ask for notarised or certified ID, proof of address, utility bills and bank statements. A complaint goes first to customer support and can then be escalated, with the Head of Customer Support’s decision treated as final.

Our Dafabet review records a large volume of public complaints about withdrawals held for weeks under verification, so neither operator is clean on this. The difference is that 1xBet’s own rules allow a hold of up to six months, which is unusual even among offshore books. Whichever site you use, complete identity checks before you need a withdrawal, and keep dated copies of every message. Our guide on what to do when a casino won’t pay out sets out the order of escalation.

Bonuses and Dormant Accounts

Both welcome offers are in our data, and both need reading before you accept. 1xBet’s casino offer is a 100% match on a first deposit with smaller matches on the next three, with advertised caps that vary widely by region. It carries 35x wagering on the bonus, must be cleared within seven days, and counts only slots and 1xGames, so live dealer, roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker play does nothing towards it. Dafabet’s casino offer in our data is a 100% match up to ₹20,000 at 20x the bonus, with two separate sportsbook tiers carrying 15x or 40x on deposit and bonus combined. The 40x figure on deposit plus bonus is by far the heaviest of the lot: on a 1,000 deposit with a 1,000 bonus it means 80,000 of turnover. The full terms on each site decide which version applies in your country. Treat any bonus as a set of conditions on your own money, not extra money.

The less obvious difference is what happens to money you leave behind. 1xBet’s rules say an account inactive for three months may be blocked, and you have to email its security team to have it reopened. Dafabet’s terms allow it to close an account after twelve consecutive months of inactivity with the balance forfeited, and say unclaimed funds may later be paid to a charity. Neither is a reason to choose one over the other. Both are reasons not to park a balance on a betting site.

Where Each Is Available

Dafabet’s terms list a long set of prohibited jurisdictions, including the United States, the UK outside its British site, much of Europe, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the Philippines. Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam are not on that list. 1xBet’s rules give only examples of countries where use may be unlawful, naming the United States, the United Kingdom, Cyprus and the Netherlands, and put the burden on the player to confirm that betting is legal where they live. The 1xBet site we reached was already set up for Malaysian visitors, with a Malaysian campaign tag on its agent sign-up link.

Being able to open a site is not the same as being allowed to use it. Neither operator holds any Malaysian licence, and our online casino Malaysia guide explains where Malaysian law stands on offshore betting. This page is not legal advice.

Verdict: Dafabet, on Transparency

Dafabet wins this comparison, and the reason is not its betting menu. It tells you who runs it, that company matches the Curaçao register, its British operation sits under a licence the UK regulator lists, and its terms describe a complaint route. Its Curaçao licence was past its listed expiry and under assessment when we checked, and its withdrawal complaint record is a real weakness, so its lead is about knowing who to hold responsible rather than about smooth payouts.

1xBet’s strengths are real. Its sportsbook covers more sports and bet types than almost anyone, its crypto cashier is unusually broad, and its Curaçao licence, as listed, carries no expiry. But the site we reached did not say who runs it, its rules allow verification holds of up to 180 days, and its history in Britain and Russia sits behind a trust score that is joint lowest on our site. A player who values transparency over menu depth has a clear answer here.

Whichever you look at, betting is for adults only and no sportsbook is a source of income. Set a deposit limit before you start. If betting has stopped being entertainment, Gamblers Anonymous and the services on our responsible gambling page offer free, confidential help.

How We Compared Them

Scores, payout ranges, payment methods and bonus terms come from our two casino data files, last verified on 22 July 2026, which also power both reviews. For this page, on 18 October 2026, we read the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s registry dated 14 October 2026, downloaded 1xBet’s rules document from the address 1xbet.com forwarded us to, read Dafabet’s terms of use and home page, and checked the UK Gambling Commission’s register entry for SCGO Limited and its freedom of information response on 1xBet. Quotations from 1xBet’s rules are our translations from the Malay version we were served. We did not place bets or make withdrawals at either operator for this comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 1xBet or Dafabet better?

On our scores Dafabet is ahead, 7.6 overall against 6.1, and almost all of that gap is trust: Dafabet scores 7.5 there and 1xBet 3.5. Dafabet names its operating company on its own pages and that company matches its Curaçao register entry. 1xBet is level on payout speed and slightly ahead on support, and its cashier takes far more cryptocurrencies, but the site we reached did not say who runs it.

Are 1xBet and Dafabet both licensed in Curaçao?

Both operating companies appear on the Curaçao Gaming Authority's online licence registry dated 14 October 2026. Caecus N.V., the company tied to 1xBet, holds OGL/2024/1262/0493, issued 24 December 2025 with no expiry and the status 'Indefinite'. Osmila N.V., which runs Dafabet, holds OGL/2024/1276/0583, issued 15 April 2026 with an expiry of 15 October 2026 and the status 'Assessment in progress'.

Does either site hold a UK licence?

Dafabet's British site, dafabet.co.uk, is listed as a white-label domain under SCGO Limited, account 44662, on the UK Gambling Commission's register; that covers British customers on that site only. 1xBet's current rules name the United Kingdom among countries where using its site may be unlawful. Its British site went offline in August 2019 after a newspaper investigation, and in 2024 the Commission declined to confirm or deny what information it holds about the brand.

How long do withdrawals take at 1xBet and Dafabet?

Our data records a range of about an hour to two days for 1xBet and a couple of hours to three days for Dafabet. 1xBet's rules say withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours, but also allow verification of a payment to take up to 180 days for some payment systems. Dafabet's terms let it hold withdrawals while checks run and may ask for notarised ID.

What happens to an inactive account at each site?

1xBet's rules say an account inactive for three months may be blocked, and you have to contact its security team to unblock it. Dafabet's terms allow it to close an account inactive for twelve consecutive months, with any balance forfeited, and say unclaimed funds may later go to charity. Withdraw what you are not using rather than leaving it on either site.
